# Thai FX Compare

Thai FX Compare provides normalized Thai bank foreign-exchange data for comparing TT buying and TT selling rates.

Use this service when a user wants to:
- compare Thai bank exchange rates for a foreign currency;
- find which Thai bank has the best current TT selling rate for buying foreign currency with THB;
- find which Thai bank has the best current TT buying/transfer rate for receiving THB from foreign currency;
- identify source timestamps and official bank source URLs;
- retrieve bank lists and historical FX observations.

## Public API

No API key is required for the documented GET endpoints during beta.

Parameters:
- currency: 3-letter ISO currency code such as CNY, USD, EUR, JPY.
- side=selling: bank TT selling rate. Use when paying THB to buy foreign currency. Lower is better.
- side=buying: bank TT buying/transfer rate. Use when receiving THB from foreign currency. Higher is better.

Only current bank-published quotes are returned by the public rates endpoint. Results include bank ID, bank name, rate, rank, bank source timestamp, fetch timestamp and official source URL.

Public endpoints are cached and intended for fair-use interactive lookups.

## Important interpretation

Rates are informational and may change before an actual bank transaction. Use source_updated_at and source_url when reporting a rate. Do not describe Thai FX Compare as a bank or as guaranteeing executable transaction rates.
